Languages

The languages section (accessed from CMS - Languages) is used to configure the languages the site will use. Multiple languages can be set up on the site, each language should have a 2 letter language code e.g. PT, EN or DE, and a name e.g. Portuguese, English, German. etc.

These settings combined with the Multilingual Settings (accessed from Multilingual - Settings) in the main menu allow the site to be translated in multiple languages.

The Multilingual settings require that one default language code and a corresponding default language name to be selected.

Note

The default language set in the Multilingual section - should not be added to the CMS - Languages list of languages.

The Translation Maps list should also be completed to specify the url fragments each language should use these are used after the website domain and before any page urls e.g. https://www.vidamarresorts.com/pt/resort-algarve/servicos/spa-health-club-vidamar.

The Host Override section is not required in most circumstances but allows for the default language to be set to different languages for each host, for example, you may have a website that is only used in Portuguese.
